Description

Princes Dock was originally constructed in the early 19th century and is currently undergoing extensive redevelopment as part of the proposed Ocean Gateway scheme.

The docks are already home to several landmark residential and commercial buildings and several plots of land are waiting to be developed. The buildings range in shape and size and are constructed from a range of materials. This mixture of developments creates a unique feel to the dockside and both the Liver building and Liverpool’s City Centre provide distinctive back drops.

The recently completed cruise liner facility is situated in front of Princes Dock on the River Mersey. The facility has already hosted the QE2 and has also added another dimension to Princes Dock with over 30 cruise liners planned to visit Liverpool over the next 12 months.

Location

Located on the waterfront, Princes dock is adjacent to both the Liver Building and Liverpool City Centre. The docks benefit from superb transport links with Liverpool Lime street station just over a mile away. Liverpool John Lennon Airport is only 9 miles to the east of the site and junction 1 of the M62 is approximately 5 miles away.
