The largest of all the Inverclyde waterfront regeneration sites, the historic James Watt Dock spans almost 50 acres and includes a broad mix of facilities including residential, retail, leisure, and commercial space.
New residential buildings sit next to the towering cranes on the dockside with the famous Sugar Warehouses - one of Scotland's biggest surviving cast iron and brick industrial buildings currently in the process of being refurbished.
The site is also home to a busy port, with various size vessels from huge container ships to pleasure craft sitting on the dockside.
Sitting just off the A8 between Greenock and Port Glasgow, James Watt Dock offers immediate access to motorway, air, and rail links to the rest of the UK, Europe and beyond. Glasgow is 40 minutes by road via the M8 Motorway and Glasgow International Airport is 20 minutes drive from the site
Cartsdyke Train Station is located in close proximity to the site and offers regular servies to Glasgow Central and the surrounding area.
The level of access varies throughout the site. Please contact us for more details.
